My Ingress Weekend Plan That Didn’t Happen

Two weekends ago I planned some fun for myself — a ride around the blue team’s portals

Look how tempting the fields built by the Ingress Resistance look (or rather, looked).

I was waiting for a parcel from China with new sneakers, planning to get them and ride my bike to a few points marked on the map.

The route would depend on time and mood — I really wanted to take something down.

Those plans were ruined by slow Chinese post: the sneakers were traveling in circles somewhere. And last week the blue fields grew even bigger.

This weekend I was visiting Kyiv, so no ride around the portals again.

Today I looked at the map and…

Looks like someone couldn’t stand all that blue and took the fields down.

There’s still work to do, of course, but it’s not as colorful anymore.

My point is: if you’ve planned something, do it, or you may miss your chance. And that applies not only to Ingress — it applies to life first of all!

Decided to buy a new wardrobe and you really need it? Don’t put it off: make the effort, choose, figure out exactly what you need and buy or order it. Otherwise you’ll end up like Steve Jobs, who, according to his wife Laurene Powell, spent years debating furniture for their home in theory — he wanted everything perfect, and perfection takes time.

P.S. The wardrobe bit was a hint to myself to stop procrastinating
