Ingress Luminary — Ingress Turns 4!

In November Ingress turned 4, and in early December, around the 7th, all players received anniversary medals according to their level.

I got the Platinum Luminary

I was a bit short of level 16 for Onyx — just 6 million AP. Last year I got a silver Vanguard, so the progress is obvious.

My achievements: almost 2,000 km walked, 2,804 unique portals visited, 12 gold medals, 3 platinum, 2 onyx, one silver and one medal for an Obsidian anomaly (that’s a separate story), and almost 34 million AP.

It’s great fun to remember everything I went through in my “portal hunting” days.

I’ve long since left all the chats and cross-faction groups; now I play on autopilot, along the way. A bit sad — the old excitement is gone.

It’s not like last year, when in winter at -25 °C you’d walk into the woods at night for achievements, or travel 100 km to another city to take down an anchor portal.
