Ingress Level 8 Day (08.08)

I left home in the morning and was pleasantly surprised when I managed to deploy two level 8 and two level 7 resonators on a portal. Must be a nice glitch, I thought. But when it happened again on a second portal, I figured it was some kind of event.

Turns out today is a holiday — 08.08.18!

Officially: double AP and you can deploy two level 7 and two level 8 resonators.

Niantic announced that from 17:00 UTC on August 7 until 05:00 UTC on August 9 all agents would get double AP and could deploy 2 resonators each of levels 7 and 8.

The event celebrated “Level 8 Day” — 08.08.

Great — two agents can now build a level 7 portal, which is much more fun than level 6.
