I’ve Stopped Playing Ingress

Niantic has announced that the old Ingress scanner will stop working on September 30.

They’ll shut it down completely, and everyone has to move to the new Ingress Prime. As I wrote before, I, like many other players, don’t like the new version. And Niantic is making another mistake by forcing everyone onto Prime.

I finished off a couple more medals, and with that I’m ending my Ingress saga.

Platinum Engineer. It wasn’t easy to get that many mods — I had to save them up and multiply them in Quantum capsules — but I hit the round number: 20,000 mods deployed!

Platinum Builder. This one was a bit easier, but I didn’t make it to onyx and stopped at 100,000. Deploying 200,000 resonators is just insane!

The overall view:

AntonioNemcd stats — Ingress level 16, Ukraine:

3,656 km walked!
In total: 4 countries, dozens of cities…
Ingress gave me a lot of interesting things, but nothing lasts forever. Everything changes — the world and us too; we simply can’t help changing…

Thank you, Ingress. Goodbye.

P.S. I’m planning to write about 7 more posts about my past trips that I kept putting off.
