Ingress Fields: Yuzhny – Budy – Merefa Night Trip
Yesterday I looked at the global Ingress map and found a few interesting points that could be linked to make some decent fields — both in area and in MU.
Going alone was a bit boring, and wandering around unfamiliar places in the dark isn’t very smart, so I found someone to join me on this tough mission 
No sooner said than done!
Around 8:10 pm I set off towards Yuzhny, where the first link point was: I needed to upgrade the portal a bit and get a key. Off we go…
The portal key didn’t drop on the first try, but as they say, persistence and courage take cities.
Next stop — Budy. The road is fine overall, the air is fresh, even a bit chilly.

Key obtained, resonator upgraded, mod deployed. Moving on — our target is the Merefa railway station.
Our experienced guide Alexander leads our small team along back paths, and here we are at the station
I get the key, start linking — and there are no portals available to link! How come? Must be a glitch. I try again — nothing. I crush a Power Cube, thinking maybe I’m short on XM — doesn’t help. I restart Ingress — still nothing. I’m confused.
We’d covered almost 80 km in total, and no field.

How so? I open the global map on my phone and see the fields are already built… haha.
Someone beat us to it.
Oh well, time to find and link new interesting points.
