Ingress Trekker: 1,419 km in 6.5 Months

In autumn 2015 I wrote about a guy who lost 64 kg playing Ingress.

Less than six months ago, 1,800 km seemed like something distant and mysterious

Since then I’ve met different players, visited different towns and villages, pushed myself, made myself get off the couch and move…

I’d never even heard of many of these places. I’ve had lots of exciting moments, felt the taste of reaching my goals and the joy of getting home after walking over 40 km in a day, when the skin on your feet is just falling off

Here’s my result as of today — the platinum Ingress Trekker medal, 1,419 km
(from late August 2015 to late March 2016, about 6.5 months).

In fact I walked much more: in hard frost outside the city I saved battery and turned off the game and the screen. Sometimes I just put on music, locked the screen and walked along singing In the woods, out in nature, it’s a wonderful feeling — you’re alone, together with nature.

All this time I kept thinking of our friend ylos, a fierce fighter of the Enlightened — as of today he has walked 4,487 km!
