Ingress Scanner Not Working — Trying Ingress Prime

I went out in the morning, thinking I’d make the Ingress universe a bit greener — no such luck. The scanner said it wasn’t working and needed an update…

It turns out Niantic had announced that the old version of the scanner would be down for maintenance for 24 hours!

Ugh. I quickly downloaded Ingress Prime (thanks, 4G).

Launched it.

So far, so pretty…

The Resistance is temporarily in the lead

And then it started again — that awful modern “pretty” interface. It’s something impossible: laggy, overdecorated, buttons who knows where.

How can anyone play this??? I took screenshots and closed it. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: if they shut down the old scanner for good, I’ll personally look for something else. Ingress Prime in its current form is not for me!

Niantic, don’t ruin the old scanner!
