News from the world of Ingress.
Something called Myriad is preparing to damage the portal network. To gather intelligence and investigate, from 20:00 on July 11 to 20:00 on July 22, Ingress agents need to make 13,000,000 unique portal hacks in total. Each agent’s hacks are counted separately.
And there’s a medal up for grabs — interested yet?

It feels like just yesterday that I installed Ingress and dived into the world of Shapers, Enlightened, Resistance, magical XM, resonators, bursters, fields and all the rest. But no — that was the distant summer of 2015, and I’ve been “in the game” for 3 years since.
In November 2018 the multiplayer augmented reality game Ingress turned 6!
To celebrate, there were double AP, lots of Ingress passcodes, the release of the “new” Ingress Prime (that’s a separate story), and today they finally started handing out the anniversary medals

Ingress Level 8 Day (08.08)
I left home in the morning and was pleasantly surprised when I managed to deploy two level 8 and two level 7 resonators on a portal. Must be a nice glitch, I thought. But when it happened again on a second portal, I figured it was some kind of event.
Turns out today is a holiday — 08.08.18!
Officially: double AP and you can deploy two level 7 and two level 8 resonators.
Ingress Cassandra Neutralizer: I Missed the Medal
I had a hunch that a medal was on offer when I noticed double AP and lots of “dinosaurs” coming out to take down portals.
I don’t follow the news and didn’t want to bother. I googled a bit on my phone, found nothing much in articles — I should have checked social media.
Afterwards I saw the medals people got and felt a bit sorry — I should have gone for it.
