How to Restart dhcpd (ISC DHCP Server) on FreeBSD
Question: How do I restart dhcpd (the daemon that hands out IP addresses over DHCP) on FreeBSD?
Answer: run this command with administrator (root) rights:
/usr/local/etc/rc.d/isc-dhcpd restart
Or the same through the service command:
service isc-dhcpd restart
P.S. this is one of the standard, simple methods. To make the DHCP server start at boot, add dhcpd_enable="YES" to /etc/rc.conf (or run sysrc dhcpd_enable=YES).
