Summer arrived — and now it’s already coming to an end. And how nice it is when there’s Wi-Fi :-)

No Wi-Fi — A-Dessa, the song Fire

The song of this summer is A-Dessa — Fire, known to everyone as “Net vai-faya” (“No Wi-Fi”).

A-Dessa — Fire (“No Wi-Fi”): video

A live performance on Avtoradio.

Who sings it

A-Dessa is a project of Stas Kostyushkin, a member of the duo Chai Vdvoyom. He released “Fire” under that name.

What the song is about

A fun parody song about an all-inclusive holiday in Turkey, where there’s sun, a beach and even a socket for your laptop — but no Wi-Fi. The hero is “in a coma”: without the internet a holiday isn’t a holiday. The chorus plays on the English word “Fire”, which sounds almost like the Russian “faya” in “no vai-faya” (no Wi-Fi), and it sticks in your head from the first listen.
