StarCraft 2 Phantoms of the Void: Where Is the Third Crystal

While playing StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm, I spent a long time looking for the third xel’naga crystal in the mission “Phantoms of the Void” — you need to destroy it to earn extra Kerrigan levels. I found it, so here it is in case someone else is searching too.

Where to find the crystals

The mission’s optional objective is to destroy three xel’naga crystals. It gives Kerrigan 3 more levels.

• The first crystal is near the expansion east of your base.
• The second and third are by the temple in the far north-west corner of the map: one to the south of the temple, the other further east, closer to Narud’s position.

The first two were quick to find, but the third took some effort — hence the screenshot.

By the way, the StarCraft 2 sequel turned out interesting, though it went by a bit too fast. If you like the genre and haven’t played it yet, I definitely recommend it.
